In Plain Sight provides a unique look into the parenthood behavior of one of North Americas rarest mammals - the San Joaquin Kit Fox. This piece takes us to the heart of California's last remaining grasslands, the Carrizo Plain, where a family of San Joaquin Kit Foxes struggle to survive in a harsh and desolate landscape. As spring unfolds, a mother fox must hunt relentlessly to provide for her six pups, while racing against the fleeting abundance of the season. Faced with dwindling prey and increasing pressure, she must bring back food every night to ensure her pups’ survival. This short documentary captures the delicate balance of life on the plains, where every decision can mean the difference between survival and extinction.
